I know there aren't always words to say so don't expect any replies

But after a few days of being not right
The dr came yesterday and today

It appears the new drug has caused serious probs with my kidneys and bladder

I'm bleeding basically

And the gp is ringing the consultant to find out what to do.

No words are there reAlly

Oh Jenni - so sorry to hear this. Being admitted sounds dreadful with the prospect of A&E, novo etc. But maybe you will feel safer if you are on the ward? Whatever you decide, just wanted to say thinking of you and hoping things get sorted quickly xx Ailsa

I struggle with my faith in general but at times like this when I cannot understand why one person should go through so much, it is even more difficult, but at the same time want to call on God because I feel His love and help is needed, alongside all the best medical care that you can get. I shall be lighting a candle for you Jenni (online as I don't live near enough to a church) as well as sending all my love and best wishes to you.

Dear jenni, you are right that words seem inadequate to express how disappointing and distressing this news is. Please don't give up hope. I can understand wanting to keep away from hospital bugs but am wondering if you will speed up treatment by being 'on the inside' as it were. I think if you are at home then maybe you are more 'out of sight, out of mind' and this is a time to fight hard. Being in hospital gives the NHS a bit more pressure to find a good treatment so you can get home again. You may well end up seeing someone other than the SHO you mentioned. I could be wrong, and obviously you will make the best decision here. I really want to help and this is the best idea I can come up with. I will be thinking of you lots. Please keep us up to date on everything. Sending love X

Jenni my love what awful news and there is me moaning in another post. I am so sorry that you are going through this. It is difficult decision for you to make but you are strong and will come through this with the help of your faith, family and doctors.

You are always in my thoughts.

Hi Jenni

This 'severe RA label' is a cruddy, horrible, indescribable mess and having just been reminded of the very same today myself I understand just how you must be feeling. So much for the cyclophosphomide, and yet more hopes dashed. Was really hoping this was to be the drug for you Sad

At the end of the day the options are limited, you either run the gauntlet and take a chance with the risks Scared or hold out for clinic and a possible numpty doc! Huh Blimey, what a choice! Hardly spoiled are you? I would definitley choose the latter rather than lay myself wide open to the rigours of any hospital A&E dept.

Sorry things are in a bad way. Thinking of you,

Lyn xx

Hi Jenni
So sorry to hear all this. Presumably although it is a rheumatology SHO, there are some back up Consultants around somewhere he can call on for help. or maybe you can tell him to get one that you think might be around.
Will be praying for you that you make the right decision.
lots of love
Anne xxxx
